Some confusion with speaking to several different people, some cross communication but got the part ordered in the end, and price was not too bad. Had it fitted by Arnold Clark today and it turns out the mirror was in fact not what I needed although it does fit and all electrics work. It apparently is from the sport version if my car and is smaller than the original, but now it's on its still better than the damaged one.

Looking for an ABS pump / modulator for 2006 Fiat Panda - did not realise that there were so many choices, or where the part number was located!
