Vauxhall presents the ecoFLEX

Vauxhall has launched a new eco-version of the Corsa.

Some of the specifications on the new greener model will include CO2 emissions of only 98g/km alongside having low petrol consumption of 76.3 mpg.

But the manufacturer claims that the alterations have not had an effect on the drive of the car, with the ecoFLEX boasting a 21 per cent increase in power when compared to the 1.3 CDTi turbodiesel.

The motor will be made available in Life and Club trim, with the price set to be revealed soon. Orders can be taken for the ecoFLEX from January of next year.

A five-door version is claimed to handle like a three door car, achieving 99g/km and comes complete with a Diesel Particulate Filter – responsible for driving down the output of harmful gases.

Vauxhall built its first motor in 1903 and stands today as a manufacturer on an international scale.

Vauxhall Astra presented to motorsport fans

Motorsport enthusiasts were given the opportunity to see the new Vauxhall Astra over the weekend.

The model was displayed at the final round of the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch.

It also claimed the vehicle boasts a range of high-tech car parts not generally seen on models in the compact class.

The company drew particular attention to the FlexRide adaptive damping system that is due to be a feature on the majority of examples of the auto.

Vauxhall has been building the Astra for the past 30 years – and the latest version is the sixth generation of the model.

The vehicle’s car parts will be assembled at the group’s Ellesmere Port facility in Cheshire.

Available to order immediately, the auto is due to arrive in UK showrooms in December.

Prices start at £15,675.

Car parts on new Vauxhall Astra ‘not normally seen in compact class’

The updated Vauxhall Astra features a number of car parts and technological innovations not normally associated with compact class autos, it has been claimed.

According to the manufacturer, the model may well end up attracting a whole new group of customers as a result of its high-spec equipment.

Buyers will find the vehicle is fitted with Advanced Forward Lighting – which is capable of changing its intensity to suit various conditions.

The car also comes with an ergonomic driver’s seat, with six-way adjustment and an extendable cushion.

In addition, the model is available with the option of a bike carrier integrated into the back bumper.

The revised auto can be ordered immediately, with initial deliveries scheduled for December.

Marketing director Andy Gilson said it is hoped the model will attract buyers looking for a motor "offering all the style and quality of a premium product – such as an Audi A3 – but at a far more affordable price".

Vauxhall previously announced a number of UK police forces would be using the new Astra.

Vauxhall Astra boasts car parts ‘rarely seen in compact class’

The new Vauxhall Astra features certain car parts and technology rarely seen in models in the compact sector, it has been claimed.

According to the manufacturer, the revised auto represents excellent value for money.

It pointed out the entry-level edition of the car costs less than £300 more than its predecessor, yet includes electronic stability control, air conditioning, 16-inch wheels and a radio/CD player with mp3 connection.

This version of the vehicle is priced at £15,675.

Meanwhile, further up the range, the Astra Sri 1.4i Turbo comes with additional features, such as a centre armrest, active head restraints and electronic parking brake.

Vauxhall claimed buyers may also find the cost of ownership falls as a result of lower CO2 emissions and insurance group ratings.

In related news, the manufacturer previously revealed it was producing some special editions of the Astra for police forces up and down the UK.

Vauxhall highlights engines in new Astra

Vauxhall has paid particular attention to its new range of engines that will be incorporated into the upcoming Astra.

Scheduled for unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the British-built model will be available with what the marque described as a "highly competitive" range of petrol and diesel parts.

These are promised to reduce fuel consumption and combined carbon emissions by about ten per cent.

An ecoFLEX version is planned for addition at a later stage but until then drivers can choose from a 1.4-litre Turbo, a 1.4-litre and two 1.6-litres for the petrol line-up.

Diesels will include 1.3-litre, 1.7-litre and 2.0-litre units.

Each Astra will come with a six-speed gearbox, except from the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre models, as well as the 1.3-litre CDTi. These will be equipped with five-speeds.

The cars are manufactured at the Ellesmere Port plant.

Fans who want to keep up to date with the Frankfurt Motor Show will have 12 days to do so, as it runs from September 15th to 27th.

This option includes side sills, a front lower and rear roof spoiler, as well as a rear lower skirt.

However, drivers may find they can get a better deal on these types of car parts by searching online.

Youngsters may account for lots of Vauxhall car parts sales

Young motorists may make up a high proportion of the people searching online for Vauxhall car parts for one particular model, if new research is anything to go by.

Carcraft has conducted a study that found the manufacturer’s Corsa is a big hit with those buying their first auto.

The retailer claimed there were some good reasons behind the popularity of the vehicle.

It explained the car offers low running costs and a range of engine sizes to suit different requirements.

The group added the auto is also seen as a trendy choice.

Commenting on the second-hand versions of the vehicle that are available, Carcraft sales director Paul Oakley said: "With a purchase price starting from under £4,000, low running costs and good looks, it has everything a new driver needs – whether they’re a girl or a boy."

Meanwhile, young motorists who purchase a used Corsa may find they can keep it running smoothly for longer by replacing parts that become worn with Vauxhall car spares bought online.

Insignia VXR may impress Vauxhall car parts buyers

Motorists who regularly buy Vauxhall car parts because they have been impressed with the performance of their current auto and want to keep it running smoothly may want to check out the latest addition to the manufacturer’s line-up.

The Insignia VXR will sit at the top of its range and join other vehicles in the high-performance family – such as the Corsa VXR and Astra VXR.

Available in sports tourer, hatchback and saloon body styles, the auto will boast 19-inch alloys, Brembo brakes with colour-keyed callipers, bespoke tyres and revised damper and bushing settings on the axles.

The model will also be the first VXR to come with 4×4 technology.

Marketing manager Andy Gilson said: "It’s an ultra-fast performance saloon that will appeal to buyers who appreciate subtle yet distinctive styling, but who need to know that there’s real substance below the car’s metal."

The auto is due to arrive in UK showrooms in September and will be priced from £30,995.

However, people who cannot justify shelling out that much may find they can keep their current vehicle in peak condition by replacing worn parts with Vauxhall car spares bought online.

Vauxhall deal may tempt young drivers

Young motorists who plan to ensure they replace worn car parts with spares bought online when they buy their first vehicle – to ensure CO2 emissions are kept to a minimum – may want to consider a model from Vauxhall.

The manufacturer has pointed out its Corsa SXi ecoFLEX is currently available with a year’s free insurance to drivers aged 19 or above.

With CO2 emissions of 119 g/km, Vauxhall said it is one of its greenest vehicles and qualifies for annual road tax of £35.

It also features a range of standard equipment, including CD player with mp3 format and radio, sports-style front seats and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, the model comes with zero per cent finance for three years and free redundancy cover as well.

However, youngsters who still cannot afford a brand new motor may find purchasing one of the manufacturer’s second-hand vehicles is a more cost-effective option.

Drivers may also be able to ensure these autos are as efficient as possible by replacing worn parts with Vauxhall car spares bought online.
