Seat offers to prepare car parts for winter

Drivers who want their vehicle’s important car parts checked out before the onset of winter may want to pay a visit to their local Seat dealership.

The manufacturer has announced it is offering a free 32-point auto health check this month – and people can take advantage of the promotion regardless of the make and model of their motor.

Mechanics will pay particular attention to tyres, as Seat claimed these car parts play a key role in road safety.

Head of aftersales Nigel Griggs said it is vital these items are kept in peak condition.

"Driving on defective, excessively worn or incorrectly inflated tyres is potentially highly dangerous," he commented.

The group’s offer has been launched to coincide with the campaign National Tyre Safety Month.

In other news, the Institute of Advanced Motorists recently urged drivers to be particularly careful on rural roads at harvest time.

The organisation explained transporting crops from the fields could result in mud being trailed along country lanes, meaning vehicles may struggle to find grip.

Family Seat Ibiza ’should be available in 2010′

A family version of the Seat Ibiza should be available by the middle of next year, the manufacturer has revealed.

The company is displaying its IBZ Concept at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.

It explained it had been keen to build an edition of the car that combines a family-sized chassis with the "feisty personality" of the original Ibiza.

Seat claimed the auto’s headlamps play an important role in the vehicle’s good looks.

It stated the front of the model "boasts an attractive sweep", which has been created through the use of pointed tips on the LED lights.

The carmaker added the interior structure of the headlamps resembles a diamond’s facets.

Commenting on the overall vehicle, Seat stated: "The sporty, design-driven, youthful style of the new Ibiza IBZ Concept make it perfect for those who value space, practicality, comfort and driving enjoyment."

In other news, the manufacturer recently struck a three-year sponsorship deal with European football’s governing body Uefa.

Seat Leon Cupra R has “brutally powerful” engine

One of Seat’s latest models comes with a "brutally powerful" engine, it has been claimed.

According to the manufacturer, the new Leon Cupra R offers the same output as the version of the vehicle that won the TDI World Touring Car Championship.

The latest addition to the company’s line up features a 265 PS 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol engine and the firm said the unit provides "remarkable flexibility" and "easy torque transmission".

People who eventually end up purchasing the motor will find it can hit 62 mph in 6.1 seconds before powering on to a maximum speed of 155 mph.

However, Seat pointed out the car is also capable of almost 35 mpg.

The model is due to be unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show on September 17th.

In other news, the manufacturer recently reported it was launching an edgy advertising campaign for the Altea, highlighting the fact life can still be fun after starting a family.

Seat offer ‘could help drivers protect key car part’

Seat owners who do not want to risk damaging one of their vehicle’s most important car parts may want to make their way down to a local dealership.

The manufacturer has urged motorists to take advantage of the free auto checks it offers all of its customers to keep engines in peak condition.

Vehicle care company Comma recently claimed its research showed Seat drivers were the least conscientious when it came to topping up their oil.

The carmaker disputed this, as the findings were based on a relatively small sample.

However, it added basic vehicle maintenance is crucial and it made sense for motorists to pop into their nearest Seat outlet for a few minutes so expert technicians could take a look under the bonnet.

Nigel Griggs, head of aftersales, commented: "Any driver would obviously be well advised to ensure his car is in tip-top condition – and Seat’s free check is a simple, easy way to get that peace of mind."

There is no need for customers to book in order to take advantage of the offer.

Drivers may also find replacing worn parts with Seat car spares bought online can also help to keep vehicles running smoothly.
