Nissan announces line up for Tokyo

An electric vehicle (EV) and mini multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) are to take the stage at the forthcoming Tokyo Motor Show as part of Nissan’s line up.

The manufacturer confirmed this week that it will present a range of cars to visitors at the event, which is scheduled to run from October 24th to November 4th in Chiba City.

Showcasing the Leaf, which is an EV set for mass-production late next year, Nissan will also focus on battery-charging systems and technologies that will help it reach the environmental goal of zero emissions.

Another EV on display will be the Land Glider – a concept at this stage – while the Qazana is a compact sport crossover that was revealed earlier this year in Geneva.

Nissan also intends to unveil its new mini MPV, which is named Roox and set for official launch later in 2009.

The company added: "[The] exhibit will feature a wide range of models and technologies such as hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), clean diesel technology and next-generation X-TRONIC CVT."

Car parts production to continue at Nissan’s Sunderland factory

Nissan has won a contract that will see it continue to produce car parts at its Sunderland facility for the foreseeable future, it has been revealed.

The manufacturer announced it will be building a new engine that is expected to feature in a number of models, including the Qashqai and Qashqai +2.

It explained the deal had allowed it to protect 130 jobs at the plant – and it is hoped an extra 200 positions will be created at the site from 2013.

The carmaker was able to secure the contract by teaming up with regional development agency One North East.

Nissan is to invest £12.92 million over the next four years and its partner has supplied a £1.94 million grant.

Spokesman for the manufacturer Trevor Mann commented: "This is excellent news for [the] Sunderland plant, in particular for our engine operation and I would like to thank One North East for their vital support."

Meanwhile, motorists who own a vehicle built by the manufacturer may find they can keep it in good working order for many years by replacing worn parts with Nissan car spares purchased online.

Nissan car parts buyers may welcome manufacturer’s success

Vehicle owners who often buy Nissan car parts in order to keep a much-loved motor on the road may welcome the news the manufacturer increased its sales last month.

Figures from the company showed it shifted nine per cent more vehicles in June than it did at the same time in 2008.

The group expressed particular satisfaction at the fact British-built models did so well.

Of all the autos purchased, some 83 per cent came from the firm’s Sunderland factory.

A third of people choosing UK-produced models went for the Qashqai or Qashqai+2, a quarter opted for the Micra, 23 per cent decided on the Note and ten per cent drove home in the Pixo.

Paul Willcox, the manufacturer’s managing director, commented: "Everyone here at Nissan is proud to be one of the few brands to have made positive growth in June."

Meanwhile, people who cannot afford to buy one of the company’s latest models may find they can keep their current auto in peak condition by replacing worn parts with Nissan car spares bought online.

New 370Z may impress Nissan car parts buyers

People who often buy Nissan car parts online in order to keep a much-loved motor in peak condition may be impressed by the latest addition to the manufacturer’s line-up.

The group has announced it is releasing a limited edition version of its 370Z coupe.

Available from dealerships this September, the new version of the sports car is finished in Ultimate Yellow.

Buyers will be looking at paying £31,650 for the manual variation or £33,050 for the automatic.

Commenting on the new auto, Nissan stated: "Some cars were just born to be yellow."

Motorists will benefit from a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, which allows the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 5.3 seconds before powering on to a top speed of 155 mph.

Inside, the model boasts black suede and leather – and a range of standard equipment, including satnav, cruise control and speed limiter.

Meanwhile, people who are happy with their current auto from the manufacturer may find they can keep it running smoothly for years to come by replacing worn parts with Nissan car spares bought online.

Nissan extends offer on British-built cars

Drivers who have been fixing up their old auto with car spares bought online because they do not qualify to take part in the government’s scrappage scheme may welcome news from Nissan.

The manufacturer has announced it is extending its offer to knock at least £2,000 off the price of any of its British-built vehicles, if people have a motor aged between eight and ten years old to trade in.

In order to qualify for the government run programme the vehicles being put forward to be scrapped must be a minimum of a decade old.

The cars Nissan builds in the UK are the Qashqai, Qashqai+2, Note and Micra.

Under the company’s extended initiative, the latter model is available from £5,995.

Managing director Paul Willcox commented: "Our £2,000 minimum trade-in provides what the government’s scrappage scheme fell short of offering – a real incentive to buy a British-built car."

However, drivers whose current auto from the manufacturer is still not old enough to allow them to qualify for the discount may find they do not really need a new vehicle.

By replacing worn parts with Nissan car spares bought online, they might find they can keep their motor running for another couple of years.

Nissan Qashqai ‘boasts happy drivers across Europe’

A significant number of drivers may benefit from searching for Nissan car spares online so they can keep a much-loved motor running smoothly, if the results of a new survey are anything to go by.

The German JD Power Vehicle Owners Satisfaction Study saw the manufacturer’s Qashqai clinch third place overall.

Previously the model took 11th position in the British version of the poll.

Nissan claimed the vehicle "comfortably bettered" both C-segment and SUV competitors.

Trevor Mann, senior vice-president of manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain management for the European division of the group, commented: "Having the superb quality and owner satisfaction offered by the Qashqai recognised in such a significant export market is fantastic news."

In the German poll, the vehicle was the only SUV to drive away with an excellent rating.

Meanwhile, motorists who already own a Qashqai and are keen to keep it in peak condition for as long as possible may find replacing worn parts with Nissan car spares bought online can help.
