One of new Ford car parts ‘is popular for good reasons’

There are good reasons why one of the latest Ford car parts to arrive on the market is proving popular, it has been suggested.

According to the manufacturer, its new six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission is proving a hit with drivers of its C-MAX and Focus models.

It claimed this is down to the unit’s contribution to providing low CO2 emissions and outstanding fuel economy.

The company said the key to the technology’s "frugal performance" is the inclusion of a pair of electronically-controlled clutch devices.

It explained this allows for smooth power delivery to the wheels.

Group representative Pat Oldani stated: "The double-clutch technology gives you the best of both worlds – the efficiency of a manual, combined with the effortless, two-pedal operation of a conventional automatic."

In other news, Ford Fiesta sales rose by more than 26 per cent in July, with the manufacturer attributing part of the model’s success to the government’s scrappage scheme.

Impressive Ford car parts ‘contribute to Fiesta award’

Some high-quality Ford car parts have been highlighted as contributing to the Fiesta’s success at a recent awards ceremony.

The model has driven away from the 2009 Auto Express honours with the title of auto of the year.

David Johns, editor-in-chief at the publication behind the accolade, said the vehicle’s "nimble chassis" and "beautifully weighted controls" were partly responsible for its triumph.

He stated: "Expectations of the latest Fiesta couldn’t have been higher – but it hasn’t disappointed."

The model was tested more intensely than most of the autos considered and it always offered excellent results, Mr Johns added.

Meanwhile, managing director of Ford Nigel Sharp said the fact the manufacturer received seven nominations from Auto Express has left the company "on a high".

In other news, a recent festival at the Orsett Showground in Essex may have created more potential Ford car parts customers.

The manufacturer displayed its Fiesta and Kuga models at the African cultural event Anansekrom, with more than 350 visitors requesting test drives.

Festival may have boosted number of Ford car parts buyers

The number of potential Ford car parts customers may have increased as the result of a recent cultural festival, if the comments of the manufacturer are anything to go by.

Anansekrom at Grays’ Orsett Showground in Essex is an event designed to promote African traditions and heritage.

Ford provided a raffle prize of a fortnight’s use of a new Kuga and explained why it was more than happy to support the festival.

Spokesperson George Ameyaw commented: "Our customers are as diverse as our product range and events such as Anansekrom are a great opportunity to reflect that diversity."

Both the Fiesta and Kuga were on display at the show and 350 visitors requested test drives and more than 1,000 individuals asked for additional information on at least one of the models.

As a result, the event may end up boosting the number of potential Ford car parts buyers in the UK.

In other news, the manufacturer reported last month that it has now sold more than half a million examples of its Ka model.

Rising sales may not surprise buyers of Ford car parts

Motorists who regularly purchase cheap Ford car spares online in order to keep a much-loved vehicle running smoothly may not be surprised to hear sales of the manufacturer’s models are on the rise.

In June, the company sold 29,800 new autos in the UK, in comparison to 28,657 at the same time last year.

The company put this rise down to the popularity of its current line-up of cars.

Managing director Nigel Sharp stated: "To beat a fiercely competitive market in the tough economic climate we’re in proves that customers see the new Ford vehicle range as an exciting opportunity not to be missed."

The group’s overall market share was also up last month, increasing from 13.7 per cent in June 2008 to 16.9 per cent.

Meanwhile, drivers who cannot afford to trade in the model they bought some years ago from the manufacturer may find they can keep it running smoothly by replacing worn parts with Ford car spares purchased online.

Ford Fiesta ‘tempting scrappage scheme buyers’

Motorists who regularly buy Ford car spares in order to keep a much-loved Fiesta on the road may not be surprised to hear the model has proved a hit with scrappage scheme customers.

The manufacturer has claimed the company has enjoyed great success under the government’s cash for bangers initiative, with this particular auto attracting the highest number of orders.

People taking advantage of the programme can drive away in the vehicle from £8,595.

After the Fiesta, the Ka has been the second most popular car with participants – and the company stated all of its more diminutive autos have done well.

Managing director Nigel Sharp commented: "Ford has taken a healthy share of scrappage business considering the limited number of models we have in the budget area, which represents the vast majority of these sales."

So far, the company has received in excess of 12,000 orders as a result of the initiative.

However, people whose current motor is not old enough to be traded in under the programme may find they can keep it in peak condition for a few more years by replacing worn parts with Ford car spares bought online.

Ford to increase prices

Motorists who were planning to buy a new Ford may want to consider replacing worn car parts on their old model instead after hearing the manufacturer’s latest announcement.

The company has revealed it will be putting up its prices from the beginning of July, by about four per cent.

As a result, the cost of the S-Max and Galaxy will rise by around £700 and £800 respectively.

Meanwhile, smaller models like the Ka, Fiesta, Mondeo, Focus, C-Max and Kuga will cost between about £600 and £700 more than they do at the moment.

Nigel Sharp is the group’s managing director and he said the weakness of the pound has put the company in an impossible situation.

"Raising prices in difficult times … may seem counter-intuitive but, with so many of our costs priced in euros, there is no choice if we are to maintain a viable business," he stated.

People who decide to hang onto their current vehicle, rather than paying the extra money for the latest version, may find they can get their old auto running like new by fitting Ford car spares bought online.

Ford ‘leading the way in digital technology’

Motorists who are knowledgeable about both internal and external car parts may be impressed by the example set by Ford.

The manufacturer has claimed it is leading the way in terms of entertainment systems.

It explained the Titanium editions of the C-MAX and Focus feature digital audio broadcasting (DAB) radios, so owners can enjoy more stations with excellent levels of sound quality.

The firm also pointed out the S-MAX, Galaxy, Mondeo and Kuga models have been equipped with this technology since the middle of last year.

Product marketing manager Paul Singleton commented: "Ford has been the leader in making DAB radio available in cars – and it has become a popular feature."

He added the group welcomed the fact the government is launching its Digital Britain roadmap this week that sets out plans for everyone to switch over to the latest technology.

Meanwhile, those more interested in keeping the internal workings of their autos running smoothly may find they can purchase cheap Ford car parts online.

Ford releases new eco-friendly Mondeo

Motorists who replace worn car parts at the earliest opportunity in a bid to keep their vehicles running as efficiently as possible and minimise their impact on the planet may be impressed by a new auto.

Ford has released an ECOnetic 2.0-litre 115PS version of the Mondeo and the company claimed the model could help drivers save cash.

With combined fuel economy of 54.3 mpg, the car may allow people to reduce their fuel bill – and the manufacturer pointed out this figure rises to as much as 64.2 mpg during motorway cruising.

In addition to this, the model offers CO2 emissions of 140 g/km – so owners will be looking at paying band E road tax of £120 per year.

However, Mondeo brand manager Jon Gunn-Smith said people who opted for the car would not be forced to compromise on performance.

He stated: "More people than ever are recognising that ECOnetic delivers the right balance for them."

Meanwhile, people who already own a Mondeo may find, rather than replacing it, it is more cost-effective to replace any worn parts with Ford car spares bought online.

Ford launches automatic Fiesta

People who are knowledgeable about car parts may be impressed by a new addition to Ford’s range.

The Fiesta can now be bought with an automatic transmission for £13,195 on the road.

Ford revealed the 1.4-litre vehicle is the final version of the model for the UK market and customers can choose between Style+, Titanium and Zetec trim levels.

Product manager Chris Muers said: "Typically, around ten per cent of small car buyers specify an auto option, so convenience technology is an important addition to a range that now offers an option for every taste."

The new edition of the model can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 13.9 seconds and offers fuel economy of 43.4 mpg.

In terms of its green credentials, it releases 154 g/km of CO2.

Meanwhile, motorists keen to make their current Fiesta more environmentally-friendly may find buying Ford car parts online to replace worn bits and pieces can ensure it is running at its most efficient.
