Volkswagen was given cause to celebrate at this year’s ACFO Fleet Car and Vans of the Year Awards ceremony.
The car and Volkswagen spares manufacturer won the ACFO Fleet Car of the Year for its Golf.
Vincent Kinner, Volkswagen UK’s head of fleet services, said: "The award means a great deal to us as it’s voted for by our customers who have, for the third time in a row, chosen the Golf as their favourite fleet vehicle."
The company representative added that the prize is of special significance as the current market is challenging and yet the brand has demonstrated a "strong year" which it expects to continue into next year too.
Britain’s largest van seller title for 2009 was also given a share of to Volkswagen for its Caddy, which marked the first tie in 26 years for the ACFO Awards.
