Volkswagen has a host of celebrating to do, scheduled for the end of this year.
Starting this month and continuing into December events will take place at the Wolfsburg AutoMuseum.
They are to mark 60 years since Heinrich Nordhoff presented the first prototype Transporter van.
Since the vehicle was first introduced in 1950 more than ten million of the cars have been purchased, so if you find you are need of a spare Volkswagen part for your motor it could be best to visit 247 Spares.
Volkswagen claims the Transporter is its best-selling model both in the UK and worldwide, with more than one million of the new version being sold in the last six years.
Its first Transporter was a Dove Blue panel van and will be on show when the celebrations take place. It was not until 1984 that the company swapped the car’s engine for a water-cooled unit.
Volkswagen produced its first ever vehicle back in 1934.
