Car manufacturer Toyota states that despite its looks, the new Aygo is a reasonably-priced motor.

The latest offering from the brand comes with Crystal Silver metallic paint, 14-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and a six-speaker audio system.

Aygo Platinum is said to be even more of a bargain for those savvy customers who place their order before the scheduled VAT increase in January of next year.

It can be ordered in five-door or three-door options and was the winner of the International Engine of the Year awards for the third time in 2009.

Whichever version you choose, both door options come with the brand’s 1.0 litre VVT-I petrol engine.

There is also an optional protection pack on offer which adds rear and side protection mouldings and parking sensors to the car at a cost of £380.

The brand is also taking part in the UK government’s scrappage scheme, which could be an added bonus for prospective car buyers.
