SsangYong sales have experienced improvement this year.

Figures released for 2009 show that registrations for the manufacturer have seen an increase when compared to 2008.

Paul Williams, managing director of SsangYong importer Koelliker UK, said: "This year’s performance is down to sheer hard work from our dealer network and it shows that business is there if product can be matched to the right buyers."

He added that despite the company not being able to take full advantage of the government’s scrappage scheme, it does lend its support the campaign.

The brand’s new passenger car registrations reached 726 from the start of the year up until the end of last month – this represented over a 26 per cent rise on last year’s figures.

All new cars from the manufacturer come with a five-year or 250,000-mile warranty. SsangYong also offer incentives such as free sat navs on its Kyron and Rodius models.
