Peugeot given to ‘best young driver’

Peugeot has been able to celebrate in the success of an event in Warwickshire by providing a new 107 as a prize.

The local council crowned 18-year-old Scott Brooks as Coventry’s Young Driver of the Year, taking home the vehicle.

Councillor Richard Hobbs, of Warwickshire County Council, said: "We are delighted to support this competition, an initiative which is giving the participating young drivers knowledge and skills that will help them stay safe throughout their driving careers."

Mr Brooks has taken his Institute of Advanced Motorists test and conveyed that he had fun on the day.

The day was attended by 50 short-listed motorists last month at MIRA North Warwickshire.

Competitors were tested practically in wet conditions and also had to complete a theory test, with the highest-scoring 12 going through to the final.

MIRA is responsible for testing, consultancy, research, information, certification and product engineering.
