Ford has produced a new range with performance upgrade packages on offer, reaching speeds that may call for the need of new Ford car parts if drivers are not careful.

The 1.0 GGR RS370FR Focus RS has mechanical enhancements which have been refined to make not only both a reliable and driveable vehicle but one it describes has a "stunningly rapid fast road upgrade package".

Such a package includes a carbon fibre Cold Air Induction System (CAIS), large capacity air to air intercooler with alloy air diverter plates and silicone boost hoses.

Ford RS specialist Graham Goode Racing (GGR) in Leicester was "delighted" to reveal the range bearing its name.

The firm’s technical manager, Alastair Mayne, said of the cars’ specifications: "We’ve made a conscious policy decision to limit the engine’s torque, although there’s certainly more to come from the motor if we wanted it."

GGR’s technical team has used its expertise on the Focus ST to make a "state of the art" CAIS that is well-suited to the RS model.

Ford also currently participates in the government’s scrappage scheme.
