Freight transport manager seminars are now underway and set to run until the beginning of December 2009.

The Freight Transport Association’s Transport Manager 2009 roadshow event is being is sponsored by Iveco.

Commenting on the range of subjects covered in the occasion’s seminars, Stuart Beeton, Iveco’s sales director, said: "One of the presentations from the health and safety executive ranged from how to ensure staff are wearing the correct footwear through to the safety aspects of loading and unloading."

He added that such seminars served to highlight the level of responsibility that is placed upon transport managers.

Mr Beeton was keen to highlight how important the management role is and gave praise for the professional manner in which the entire event had been conducted, adding that the opportunity to communicate with more than 1,000 managers was effective use of company time.

Iveco has been established now for around 30 years.
