A car safety award was confirmed for one car manufacturer today (November 25th).
It came from Euro NCAP – giving Infiniti five stars for the brand’s FX model.
The FX was able to achieve a score of 99 per cent in demonstrating its high safety standards.
NCAP is said to be regarded as the most demanding independent crash test organisation worldwide.
It is the first time that Infiniti’s car has come into contact with the crash barrier, being tested under a more rigorous system introduced for 2009.
Euro NCAP now has a safety assist element included within its testing which then determines a vehicle’s star rating.
Safety highlights of FX cars include adaptive front lighting, around view monitor, intelligent all-wheel drive, tyre pressure monitoring and much more dependent on the model.
Infiniti is a US brand which originally came from Japanese firm Nissan and has been building up its profile over the past 20 years.
The firm states that by next year it expects to have 80 of its centres open throughout Europe.
