Current sales figures are looking good, according car manufacturer Fiat.

Its statistics for October demonstrated a success story for one of the brand’s superminis, as reported by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Andrew Humberstone, Fiat Group Automobiles UK managing director, said: "This is an incredible result for the Fiat 500 which we are, of course, delighted with."

He added: "Interest in this car has been sky high ever since we launched it here less than two years ago."

Mr Humberston commented that the vehicle’s appeal will be increased further when the brand introduces additional eco-friendly benefits, with the company’s belief that it will only serve make an even bigger impact on the car market.

The Fiat 500 has reportedly entered into the league of being one of Fiat’s top ten best-selling vehicles.

October’s sales total of 2,989 units is 993 higher than the same period last year.
The company has been manufacturing cars since 1899.
