Actor Danny Dyer was recently reunited with his stolen Porsche Cayenne thanks to the vehicle’s tracking system.

The star said he was amazed at how quickly he got his vehicle back and added he would make sure all his motors are fitted with similar security features in the future.

His Porsche was kitted out with Tracker’s recovery device, allowing police to find it within an hour-and-a-half of it being stolen.

The system works even if a vehicle is concealed in a garage or taken to another country.

Dyer commented: "Without the Tracker device fitted, my Porsche would still be in the hands of thieves and I may never have recovered it."

The company responsible for the unit works in partnership with all 52 of the UK’s police forces.

In related news, a Tracker device also proved vital in the recovery of a milk float that was stolen in the West Midlands recently.
