One car manufacturer is reverting back to its old ways and bringing back stripes.
Car manufacturer Renault has taken the decision to revive the old Gordini markings.
Renaults are once again set to sport a Gordini badge in just a few months’ time.
It has been said that the name forms part of the company’s heritage and is a symbol for success.
Gordini branding was derived from Amedee Gordini, the person responsible for developing in the region of 200,000 vehicles in a 20-year timescale for the make.
He was responsible for his own racing car improvements before he became involved with the manufacturer, with the Renault 8 Gordini being one of his most winning developments.
According to the brand its Megane Renaultsport, Twingo Renaultsport and Clio Renaultsport currently stand as its "best-performing vehicles in their sectors".
The manufacturer claims that since the win by Marcel and Louis Renault in 1899 at the Paris-Trouville race, it has developed a history closely related to motorsports.
