A major car manufacturer has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Barcelona.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance Barcelona have agreed to work together in an effort to champion "zero emission mobility".

Early this year, the country revealed plans to bring about the necessary working environment to enable the use of electric vehicles, in replacement of more traditionally used modes of transport.

Renault’s four Spanish production buildings are equipped with solar panels, meaning that their CO2 output is reduced by 169 tons when compared to what it would be if it came from a non-renewable energy source.

Ernesto Salas, public affairs director at Renault Spain, said: "This agreement strengthens the involvement of Renault in promoting zero-emission mobility in Spain which is a key market for us."

The Renault-Nissan Alliance was formed in 1999 with the aim of becoming one of the top three ranking motor producing companies worldwide, taking into consideration profit, quality and technology.

Renault will launch its Z E Electric car range soon but for any traditional Renault car parts you might needs, 247 Spares can help out.
