Peugeot has announced the list of standard car parts and accessories that will be included in the new 5008 Compact MPV seven-seater.

The model will be available in three trim levels – Active, Sport and top-of-the-range Exclusive.

Buyers opting for the latter edition will find it comes with a variety of standard equipment, including 17-inch alloy wheels, electrochrome interior mirror, head-up display, rear parking aid, distance alert, climate-control air conditioning and hands-free Bluetooth.

In addition, owners will find the windscreen wipers come on automatically when it starts raining and the headlamps illuminate the road as soon as visibility drops below a certain level.

On all trim levels, the rear seats can be flattened to increase boot space.

Due to arrive in UK showrooms during January 2010, the model costs from £16,895.

In other news, Peugeot saw its UK retail sales increase by 18 per cent last month, compared with September 2008.
