Lexus has announced it is unveiling a hybrid model this month that will meet the needs of even the "most demanding premium compact segment customers".

The LF-Ch is to make its world debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show – taking place between September 17th and 27th.

According to the manufacturer, the fact the auto offers electric-only driving means owners will benefit from near silence when in urban areas, as well as zero emissions.

It also claimed the five-door car boasts "stylish design".

Further information regarding the model is due to be released in the coming days, before its official unveiling in Germany.

Meanwhile, the Frankfurt International Motor Show will also see Lexus display its revised LS and GS models.

In other news, it was recently revealed Humberside Police had chosen a Lexus IS-F in order to help them with their crime-fighting duties.

The force said it had opted for the model because it offers exceptional levels of stability, even at high speeds.
