Some cutting edge Seat car parts are helping to boost the manufacturer’s green credentials, it has been claimed.

The group will unveil three new Ecomotive models at the Frankfurt International Motor Show later this month – all of which have been equipped with a 105 PS 1.6-litre TDI CR engine, a DPF particulate filter and common rail fuelling technology.

Alongside the company’s new green Altea and Altea XL, the carmaker will display its updated environmentally-friendly Leon.

The first two models boast CO2 emissions of 119 g/km, while the third releases 99 g/km.

Due to arrive in showrooms up and down the UK early next year, prices and exact specifications are scheduled to be announced closer to the official release dates.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer is also planning to debut its new Leon Cupra R at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.

Seat described the model’s 265 PS 2.0 TSI engine as "brutally powerful".
