Car spares buyers may be impressed with museum exhibit

Motoring enthusiasts who know their way around most car parts may be impressed by a new museum exhibit.

The latest display to arrive at the Nurburgring Ring-Werk collection in Germany allows visitors to get inside the engine of a Formula One vehicle.

Created by Manchester-based firm EDM, the walk-through unit is the largest exhibit ever produced by the company.

Attendees at the museum enter the engine underneath the cooling fan, before passing a piston, crankshaft, valves and camshaft.

The group behind the creation explained through clever lighting use, people are able to see the flow of intake and spark of combustion.

It commented: "Visitors to the new exhibition will be left in no doubt what extreme forces and complex mechanics play out inside a Formula One racing car. "

Meanwhile, motorists keen to keep their own engine in peak condition may find they can replace worn parts with car spares bought online relatively cheaply.

Vauxhall car parts ‘designed to make Corsa look sporty’

Some Vauxhall car parts could help Corsa owners give their vehicles a fresh, sporty feel, it has been suggested.

In addition to this, racing stripes can be bought for £150 – in silver, white or black.

Car spares buyers may welcome new campaign

People who do not want to invest in a range of car spares to spruce up their auto only to end up in an accident may welcome a new government campaign.

The Department for Transport has launched some television adverts highlighting the dangers of drug-driving.

It explained the country’s leaders felt compelled to act after research revealed one in ten young male motorists have got behind the wheel after taking illegal substances.

Transport secretary Andrew Adonis said the government was keen to challenge the attitudes of people who thought it was acceptable to drive while under the influence of drugs.

He stated: "We are determined to get the message through to this reckless minority that their behaviour is putting lives in danger."

The first advert was shown yesterday (August 17th) on ITV1 before Coronation Street.

Meanwhile, replacing vehicle parts as soon as they become worn with car spares purchased online could help motorists ensure their autos keep turning heads.

Condition of car parts is ‘not only consideration for used auto buyers’

Motorists may need to consider more than the condition of various car parts when buying a second-hand auto, if the comments of one industry group are anything to go by.

According to vehicle information company HPI, if drivers are not careful they could end up purchasing a stolen set of wheels.

The firm urged people to take advantage of the service it offers, which includes thorough research into the background of a second-hand auto.

Director Daniel Burgess stated: "The HPI check has a reputation built over 70 years of helping consumers and dealers protect themselves from used car criminals."

The group issued this statement as it revealed it was launching its first ever TV advertising campaign.

Broadcasts outlining the business’s services are currently being shown on Bravo, UK Living and Dave.

Meanwhile, HPI recently claimed motorists and dealers buying used cars are facing a growing risk of being targeted by fraudsters trying to off-load cloned vehicles.

American may find herself searching for Toyota car parts’ company

A woman in America may well end up searching for a company that sells Toyota car parts this week, following an unusual incident with a fish.

Leighann Niles was on the road in north-west Ohio when an eagle dropped its dinner onto her vehicle causing the windscreen to break.

The freshwater fish in question – known as a sheepshead – fell from some 40 feet up in the air.

Commenting on the impact of the catch hitting her Toyota, Ms Niles said it felt as if a brick had been thrown at the windscreen.

This was not the only animal-related incident she encountered during her trip either.

Earlier in the journey, a truck had struck a small bird, which then rebounded into Ms Niles’ rear passenger door – startling her young daughter.

Meanwhile, motorists who suddenly find they require replacement car parts after an unexpected incident on the road may discover some of the best deals are available online.
