Mazda has suggested the inclusion of one of its latest car parts in the new CX-7 could make the auto attractive to many buyers.
The model comes with the MZR-CD 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine, which the manufacturer described as "highly efficient" and "clean-running".
According to the company, the unit means that the vehicle offers significantly lower CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
It stated owners will benefit from a sporty drive and excellent green credentials.
The vehicle’s engine is also compliant with Euro 5 emissions rules.
Due to be unveiled at the Frankfurt International Motor Show next month, the auto is scheduled to arrive in UK showrooms during October.
Mazda is also planning to display its latest range of eco-friendly technology – such as its rotary hydrogen powertrain – at the German event in September.
In other news, the MX-5 was named Best Roadster at the latest Auto Express honours – meaning it has received an award from the magazine on four consecutive occasions.
