An award-winning Fiat car part may be able to help drivers reduce their impact on the environment and save money, if recent comments are anything to go by.
The magazine Auto Express gave the company a special accolade for its eco:Drive system at its recent honours and said the technology offers various benefits.
It stated: "This innovative product is designed to improve economy and reduce CO2 output, but the system also helps to cut fuel bills."
With many people trying to tighten their belts at the moment, this is something everyone can appreciate, the publication added.
The technology works by inserting a USB memory stick into the dashboard, so that it can record details of the driving style of the person behind the wheel.
Users can look at this information on a computer and the system offers advice on how to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.
Meanwhile, replacing car parts that become worn is another way motorists may be able to boost their vehicle’s efficiency.
