British motorists may be well advised to make sure they replace worn car parts in order to keep their vehicles running smoothly, if the results of a new report are anything to go by.

RoadTestReports.co.uk has analysed the first 3,000 auto reviews posted on its website and the findings suggest many drivers would be upset if anything were to go wrong with their set of wheels.

Of those people who completed an assessment of their current motor, some 70 per cent indicated they were happy with their car by awarding it a four or maximum five-star score.

In comparison, 12 per cent of participants gave their vehicles three-star marks and 18 per cent handed out one or two-star ratings.

Commenting on drivers’ attitudes to their autos, RoadTestReports.co.uk spokeswoman Faye Sunderland said: "To see so many reports of the pleasure they get out of their cars is really telling of the British penchant for their motors."

Meanwhile, people who are happy with their vehicles may find they can keep them running smoothly for many years to come by replacing worn parts with car spares bought online.
