People who do their bit for the planet by replacing worn car parts to ensure their vehicles are running as efficiently as possible may be impressed to hear drivers are taking advantage of the scrappage scheme in a bid to improve their green credentials.
According to Volvo, the motorists who have come to them to take part in the initiative have been looking for environmentally-friendly autos.
In the space of a month, the company has sold 1,234 vehicles to such customers, with 679 opting for the C30 SportsCoupe.
The manufacturer pointed out the DRIVe version of this model with Start/Stop feature boasts CO2 emissions of 104 g/km and fuel economy of 72.4 mpg.
Commenting on the impact of the initiative overall, spokesman for the group Nick Connor stated: "The scheme has been a much welcome boost to our sales, as well as to the industry as a whole and we are working hard for this success to continue."
Meanwhile, people who already own an eco-friendly model from the company may find they can keep it running at its best by replacing worn parts with Volvo car spares bought online.
