Drivers who tend to buy used vehicles and then keep them running for as long as possible by ensuring they always replace worn car parts may want to check out a new second-hand auto-purchasing scheme.
Carsite.co.uk has revealed its customers can now reserve models that are coming to the end of fleet and leasing deals before they are officially put on the market.
The Early Bird programme allows people to browse thousands of vehicles and if they spot a motor they want, they then pay £75 and the auto cannot then be bought by anyone else.
At this point, Carsite.co.uk sorts out an HPI check and independent bodywork and mechanical examination, as well as issuing the potential purchaser with 21 detailed photographs of the model they are interested in.
If the buyer changes their mind about the car, they receive a refund of the £75 reservation fee.
Meanwhile, people who have recently bought a second-hand vehicle may find they can buy a wide range of car spares online in order to keep the auto in peak condition.
